Residential Tree Services

Tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, storm cleanup and emergency service for homeowners, handled with care for your house, yard and landscaping.

The trees around your home shade the house, frame the yard and give the property its character. They also grow over roofs, drop limbs on driveways, heave walkways and occasionally end up on top of the garage after a storm. e Tree Service helps homeowners throughout the Triangle and surrounding areas take care of all of it, from routine trimming to emergency removals.

Tree Work Around Your Home

Residential tree work is different from clearing an open field. The tree is usually close to something that matters: the house, a fence, a deck, a driveway, a neighbor's property, a garden bed you spent years building. That is why we start every job by looking at the whole site, not just the tree, and plan the work around protecting what is nearby.

Homes and roofs. Limbs over roofs are a leading reason homeowners call. We trim for clearance and remove dead wood that could fall on shingles, gutters and skylights. When a tree near the house needs to come down, we typically remove it in sections and lower pieces with ropes.

Yards and lawns. We pay attention to where equipment travels and how debris is moved, and we clean up when we finish so the yard is ready to use.

Driveways and walkways. Low limbs that scrape cars, roots lifting concrete and trees that drop heavy debris onto parking areas can all be addressed with trimming or removal.

Fences and landscaping. Trees along fence lines and inside planted beds require careful rigging and cleanup. Let us know about anything fragile during the estimate.

24/7 emergency tree service for trees on homes, cars and fences or across driveways.

What to Expect

When you contact us, we set up a time to see the trees in person. We walk the property with you when possible, listen to what you want to accomplish and explain what we recommend. You get a clear scope and price that spells out what cleanup is included and whether stump grinding is part of the job.

On the day of the work, we set up, protect what needs protecting and do the job the way we planned it. If anything unexpected comes up, we talk to you before changing course. When we leave, the work area is cleaned up.

A Few Things That Help

If your HOA requires approval for tree removal, it is best to start that process early. Let us know about gate widths, pets, irrigation lines, septic systems, invisible dog fences and anything buried in the yard. If a tree is on or near a property line, talking with your neighbor ahead of time can make the day go smoothly for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Estimates are free. Send the form with a few details, or call (919) 290-3020. For most jobs we want to see the tree and the surrounding property in person before giving a firm price, because access and nearby structures change the work involved.

Do you clean up after the job?

Cleanup is part of the job, and we agree on the details during the estimate: haul-away of wood and brush, whether you want any firewood left behind, raking and blowing of the work area, and whether stump grinding is included.

Can you remove a tree that is very close to my house?

Yes. Trees near homes are usually taken down in sections, with pieces lowered by rope rather than dropped, so they never land on the roof, gutters or deck. The approach depends on the tree and the space around it, which we evaluate during the estimate.

How much clearance should trees have from my roof?

Keeping limbs from resting on or rubbing against the roof is the main goal, along with reducing the leaves and debris that collect in gutters. The right distance depends on the tree and how it moves in the wind, so we set clearance on site rather than applying one number to every tree.

Are you insured?

Yes. e Tree Service is fully insured. You are welcome to ask for proof of coverage before work begins, and property managers can request it for their records.
